Tearing Up the Rule Book Since Forever
As 2manydjs, David & Stephen Dewaele completely transformed the music landscape in the early 2000s with their As Heard On Radio Soulwax Pt. 2 album, with its ingenious transfuse of artists and genres from all eras. As Soulwax, the brothers also wrote history remixing their album Any Minute Now into Nite Versions, and tearing up the rule book once again with the creation and curation of Radio Soulwax as an ap, an online radio station and a live touring event. It was the ultimate synthesis of sound and vision, producing 24 one-hour mixes with accompanying visuals.
Over the years, David & Stephen Dewaele have recorded five exceptional albums, turned Part of the Weekend Never Dies into one of the most captivating tour documentaries ever, and remixed artists like The Rolling Stones, Daft Punk and Gorillaz. In addition, they run the DEEWEE label from their studio in Ghent, and they created the ground-breaking immersive sound experience Despacio with James ‘LCD Soundsystem’ Murphy, which is hitting Belgium for the very first time during FTI Gent.
