Sports Doctor with an Expertise in the Musculoskeletal System

After studying medicine at Maastricht University, Rick Verjans headed to Isala Zwolle to become a sports doctor. The four-year course at the hospital consists of specialisations in cardiology, pneumology, (sports) orthopaedics, sports medicine and sports medical team coaching.

His expertise lies in the diagnosis and conservative treatment of injuries of the musculoskeletal system – both in athletes and non-athletes. Verjans also joined the Dutch premier league team PEC Zwolle in the past, and he lectures general practitioners and medical specialists in training.
