Talking All That Jazz (and Technology)

For a quarter of a century, Ben Van Alboom has been reporting on topics including film, music and technology for Knack, De Standaard, Humo, De Morgen, Klara, Radio 1 and Studio Brussel. For the latter, he also hosted the electronic music show Switch for a long time. And at the newspaper De Morgen, he headed the culture desk for several years.

In recent years, Van Alboom has made several podcasts, including De Nacht and Sunset Confessions, and he also programs DS Podcastfestival, the podcast festival of the newspaper De Standaard in Ostend. He picked up his love for podcasts about ten years ago in New York, where he was assigned by Visit Flanders to put the Antwerp Red Star Line Museum on the map. He also co-founded the nightlife platform Red Bull Elektropedia, as well as the British cultural festival Everything UK, and launched the popular newsletter FilmKlub.
