Improving Care of Patients with Chronic Complex Diseases
Lies Lahousse is Associate Professor at the Department Bioanalysis at Ghent University and affiliated with the Department Epidemiology at Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam. Her main expertise? Pharmacoepidemiology, clinical respiratory epidemiology and genetic epidemiology. She combines her pharmaceutical and epidemiological background with a broad expertise in observational studies and real-world data. Her group performs population research focused on precision medicine, including optimizing the benefit risk ratio of approved drugs by studying heterogeneity among phenotypes, endotypes and underlying genetics with the ultimate goal of improving care of patients with chronic complex diseases such as COPD.
