Ghent’s largest event location – Flanders Expo has eight halls and a total exhibition area of 54,000 m2 – was opened in 1987 with the third edition of Flanders Technology. What’s more: the huge complex was built after it became clear during the first two editions of Flanders Technology that the ambition of the innovation festival was too big for the existing infrastructure in Ghent. Since 1987, I Love Techno and Prince have also resided there, and so will FTI Gent … once again!
